Karlin Pickett is a well -known Radio DJ in Los Angeles who entertains his audience with crazy stunts and tough jokes. His new colleague, the young Jon Price, is very impressed and the two get along well. Karlin offers Jon a very good job, which gives him the chance to start a new life. Jon's beautiful girlfriend Sharon does not like the new life at all and sees her relationship break, she wants the old life back. At one point a number of women are killed, and the suspected murderer regularly calls the radio station, the cat and mouse game has started. Inspector Dimotto tries to grab the murderer through the hints he has to hear about the radio, but when he is close to the truth, he makes a shocking discovery that the entire city witnesses the radio.
