Organic brake pads are ideal for dry conditions and suitable for MTB, trekking and racing bikes. Sintered brake pads are ideal for wet conditions and suitable for MTB. Metallic carbon brake pads offer good braking power in both wet and dry weather conditions and are suitable for e-bikes. After the assembly of the new brake pads, it is important to inhibit them, which extends the lifespan. To inhibit the brake pads, you must keep the brake lever lightly attracted while you drive and ensure that the brake pads touch the brake disc. Drive approximately 100 meters at a speed of 25 kilometers per hour and brake a little faster at the end to reduce the speed to about 5 kilometers per hour. You can then slowly increase the speed while slightly braking. Repeat this process 10 to 12 times to ensure that the new brake pads are well finished.
